Ben At Work’s new single, “A Journey Starts With A Goodbye” is an instrumental electronica meets orchestra track about loss and pushing forward. The song tries to capture that moment in which a new chapter in one’s life is forced open, by the aching loss of losing someone from another. Turning grieving into gladness for an open horizon ahead. Ben is busy layering a grand mixture of the organic (such as choral vocals and improvised percussion) and electronic (such as soaring lead synthesisers and pounding drum machines) to do the size and scope of the story justice. An instrumental epic with many twists and turns for lovers of the bombastic and heartfelt.
